The Whitsunday Sporting Car Club has had an exciting start to 2026, and we’re proud of the progress we’ve made together as a committee – as a club, with the incredible support of our members, volunteers, sponsors and local community.    Over the past few months, we’ve focused on strengthening our club both on and off the track.  From growing our social media presence and improving communication with members, to securing new sponsorships, upgrading our facilities and welcoming new faces to the club, we’re building a strong foundation for the future

One of our biggest priorities has been creating a more connected and engaged club.  Through regular updates on Facebook, a refreshed website and greater community involvement, we’re making it easier than ever for people to discover what grassroots motorsports in the Whitsundays is all about.

None of which would be possible without the dedication of our committee, the many members who generously volunteer their time and the local businesses that continue to support our club.  Every working bee, every event and every helping hand contributes to making WSCC the welcoming, family-friendly club that it is today.

Introducing the 2026 Committee and Supporting Members:

We are proud to have the following members volunteering for various supporting roles, including funding and grants, fundraising and donations, business sponsorship, advertising and promotions, social media and website, photography and videography, membership and recruitment, grounds, equipment and building maintenance, WH&S and first aid, training and development, canteen and amenities, and the general committee:

While we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved so far, there’s still plenty to come.  One big event we will be attending this year is the Mackay Big Boys Toys Expo!  Be sure to swing by the Mackay Showgrounds to see the committee promoting our club.  We have new signage on the way including corflute sponsor signage!

We encourage all members to join our working bees and committee meetings. Please let the president know if you will be attending. Here are some things to consider for our working bees:

– What skills do you possess and what can you assist with?

– Do you own any equipment that you can bring and operate (e.g., tractor and slasher, mower, poison cart)?

– What items can you donate to contribute to ground, building, and equipment maintenance?

– There may be additional items needed, and we would love to hear about them.
