DESCRIPTION:iDRIVE JUNIOR TRAINING\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\niDRIVE is a young driver training program that Whitsunday Sporting Car Club established in early 2014. The concept of iDRIVE is to introduce new juniors into the fun and exciting world of motorsport in a supportive and safe club environment. Participants\, aged 12-17\, can develop their driving skills to a level where they can confidently compete in the club level motorsport events. \niDRIVE is structured around the basic discipline of Motorkhana. Motorkhana’s are a great introduction to motorsport. They test a participant’s acceleration\, braking and manoeuvrability skills in a variety of small tests marked out by traffic cones off regular streets or roads and other traffic. \nOur experience shows that young drivers who learn car handling skills in an off road safe controlled environment are less inclined to learn the limits on the public roads. Our club has 4 small hatchbacks to use as the iDRIVE training cars and participants will have a driver trainer in the car with them at all times. \nEach event is set out to cater for individuals and participants will improve their driving skills if attending all four iDRIVE training sessions. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n2019 DATES:\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGROUP 2 (SUNDAY LESSONS)\n\n\n\nSunday 7 April\nSunday 2 June\nSunday 7 July\nSunday 8 September\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\niDRIVE LESSONS:\n\n\n\n12-17 Year Olds\n10am to 1pm\nTonker Park Motorsports Complex\, Lascelles Ave (Proserpine Airport Rd)\nClub Car provided\nParticipants must wear enclosed footwear\nParent/Guardian needs to be in attendance for the duration of the event (please bring a chair & refreshments)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$50 ENTRY FEE INCLUDES:\n\n\n\n4 iDriver Training Lessons – Saturday or Sunday sessions (events only run if sufficient nominations)\nCAMS Licence (normally $35)\nAnnual Junior Club Membership (normally $70)\nUse of WSCC Club Car and Trainer (priceless)\nEntry to first club event if competing (normally $40)\n\n  \n\n\n\n\nLESSON TIMETABLE:\n\n\n\n\n\n9.45am: iDRIVE participants invited to arrive & register\n10.00am-10.30am: Driver briefing about day’s format & theory\n10.30am-12.45pm: Driver Training\n12.45pm-1.00pm: Driver debrief & feedback forms\n\n  \n\n\nREGISTER NOW:\n\n\n\n\nLimited numbers available – pre nominations are essential. DESCRIPTION:iDRIVE JUNIOR TRAINING\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\niDRIVE is a young driver training program that Whitsunday Sporting Car Club established in early 2014. The concept of iDRIVE is to introduce new juniors into the fun and exciting world of motorsport in a supportive and safe club environment. Participants\, aged 12-17\, can develop their driving skills to a level where they can confidently compete in the club level motorsport events. \niDRIVE is structured around the basic discipline of Motorkhana. Motorkhana’s are a great introduction to motorsport. They test a participant’s acceleration\, braking and manoeuvrability skills in a variety of small tests marked out by traffic cones off regular streets or roads and other traffic. \nOur experience shows that young drivers who learn car handling skills in an off road safe controlled environment are less inclined to learn the limits on the public roads. Our club has 4 small hatchbacks to use as the iDRIVE training cars and participants will have a driver trainer in the car with them at all times. \nEach event is set out to cater for individuals and participants will improve their driving skills if attending all four iDRIVE training sessions. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n2019 DATES:\n\n\n\n\nGROUP 1 (SATURDAY LESSONS)\n\n\n\nSaturday 6 April\nSaturday 1 June\nSaturday 6 July\nSaturday 31 August\n\n\n\n\n\n\niDRIVE LESSONS:\n\n\n\n12-17 Year Olds\n10am to 1pm\nTonker Park Motorsports Complex\, Lascelles Ave (Proserpine Airport Rd)\nClub Car provided\nParticipants must wear enclosed footwear\nParent/Guardian needs to be in attendance for the duration of the event (please bring a chair & refreshments)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$50 ENTRY FEE INCLUDES:\n\n\n\n4 iDriver Training Lessons – Saturday or Sunday sessions (events only run if sufficient nominations)\nCAMS Licence (normally $35)\nAnnual Junior Club Membership (normally $70)\nUse of WSCC Club Car and Trainer (priceless)\nEntry to first club event if competing (normally $40)\n\n  \n\n\n\n\nLESSON TIMETABLE:\n\n\n\n\n\n9.45am: iDRIVE participants invited to arrive & register\n10.00am-10.30am: Driver briefing about day’s format & theory\n10.30am-12.45pm: Driver Training\n12.45pm-1.00pm: Driver debrief & feedback forms\n\n  \n\n\nREGISTER NOW:\n\n\n\n\nLimited numbers available – pre nominations are essential.
